Australians also love to lend a hand, and next weekend will be a chance to do the two things we love at once.
Bunnings’ annual ‘Aussie Day Weekend Fundraiser BBQ’ will held at all stores on Saturday, January 38.
The barbecue will help to raise much-needed funds for local volunteer emergency services through the sales of a sausage sizzle.
Goulburn residents are encouraged to support the Goulburn unit of the State Emergency Service by heading down to Bunnings Warehouse on the corner of Hume Street and Ducks Lane between 9am and 4pm that day to buy a snag or make a donation.
The store’s staff will be running sausage sizzles with support from local emergency services volunteers, with every cent raised going directly to support the Goulburn SES.
Bunnings Warehouse Goulburn complex manager Karen McCann said the Aussie Day Weekend Fundraiser BBQ was a way for staff and customers to show their appreciation for the great work done by local volunteer emergency services around the country.
“The team is really excited to get behind the barbecue to help raise vital funds for our local NSW State Emergency Service,” Ms McCann said.
Family activities, fun games and entertainment will also be held throughout the day.
Bunnings also hosts DIY workshops and activities weekly. Coming up, including the school holiday program, are:
- Thursday, January 19 at 10am: Kids DIY to decorate a treasure box
