Crookwell was looking to chase down Hibos score of 191. Ben Evans and Sam Jackson resumed batting at 6/136 and cautiously tested out the soft wicket.
Jackson fell driving on the up but Evans and Andrew Nolan resisted and started to hit over the infield. Nolan (11) was starting to look settled when Michael Mcalister caught a leading edge and Luke Hayward took the catch at mid-wicket, leaving Crookwell 8/165. Geoffrey Gilbert (12) took most of the strike as Crookwell edged towards the target, but when Evans (22) fell, Hayward brought himself back on and finished the innings off for 183 and claim first innings points for Hibo by eight runs.
Michael Mcalister was the best bowler of day two claiming 2/38 off 10 overs.
Hibo batted again and lost Robert Ings early but Michael Hosking (24) finally found form with the bat, supported by his skipper. Josh Patterson bowled Hosking with the score on 33. That brought Andrew Martin to the crease who set about attacking the bowling. He eventually fell to a good catch by Nicholas Skelly in the deep for 40 off 46 balls.
With the score at 3/91 and an hours play remaining both captains conceded no further result was likely and stumps were called early.
