The equipment have been purchased to maintain the quality of life, senior Bourke Street Health Service palliative care nurse Rosie Doherty said.
Bourke Street Health Service has received much appreciated equipment for palliative and oncology patients.
The equipment purchased include: four walkers, two mobile shower commodes and seats, for wheel chairs, three bath transfer benches, 10 bath boards, a portable oxygen concentrator, a syringe driver, two lock boxes and a pressure relief mattress.
The money to purchase this equipment was gathered through multiple community activities and fundraising projects in Goulburn. This includes donations received by other community services in the region and donations from the deceased.
Thanks to the generosity from the people of Goulburn, we were able to purchase the much needed equipment, Ms Doherty said.
This will allow for more choices in their time of care.
