The day included a sausage sizzle provided by the Goulburn Men’s Shed, a tour of the cells and different interactive presentations.
Around 2000 people visited the station over the course of the day.
Goulburn Police and Rescue, Transport Command, the Dog Squad, weapons trainers, bicycle operatives and officers based in Goulburn and across the Hume LAC participated in the events.
Inspector John Sheehan said the events were well received by the public.
“We’re quite happy with the result,” Inspector Sheehan said.
“It gives the community an understanding of the day-to-day operations and dispels myths some people might have. It was also great to have the kids come through for a look.”
