Mayor Bob Kirk officiated at the Council Chambers ceremony last Thursday, swearing in 16 adults and four children as new Australians.
They come from all corners of the world, including Nepal, India, England, China and Greece.
“It is always an honour to welcome new Australian citizens from a range of different backgrounds into our community” Cr Kirk said.
“We are lucky to live in Australia, and in Goulburn Mulwaree, and these ceremonies are always a great reminder for us all to be thankful for the freedoms we enjoy.”
Following the ceremony the new citizens along with family and friends enjoyed morning tea with Mayor Bob Kirk, Cr Leah Ferrara and Deputy Mayor Alf Walker.
