The club was founded in 1955 and worked in the community until mid-1997.
Apex membership Australia-wide had started to fall in the late 1980s.
Former club president (1997) Tom Horton seeks memorabilia such as minute books, photographs of Apexians in action – at Tuena Gold Rush, Crookwell Country weekend, wood drives or other schemes – and name badges.
These items will be scanned or photographed and returned promptly.
Information on the Perpetual Shield, which was awarded to Crookwell business houses for the best Christmas window display, or other Apex shields prior to the 1980s, would also be appreciated.
The whereabouts of the Apex Charter, a framed document that was handed over to the incoming president at each annual dinner, is also sought.
Photographs of past presidents of Warwick Marshallsea and Charles Brackenridge would also be welcome. All but two photos of the 24 charter members from 1955 have been collected, with the exception of John Thomas Norman (Rural Bank) and Eric Milton Webster (son of Milty Webster).
Apex annual reports from 1956-1957 and 1967-1968 are also missing.
