Two teenagers appeared in Goulburn Children’s Court on August 7 on charges of aggravated robbery. The charges relate to the alleged robbery of an elderly woman in Gouburn on August 1.

Police facts tendered in court said that, just after 3.30pm that day, a boy, 17, and a girl, 16, allegedly stole a wallet from an elderly woman in Cowper Street, Goulburn.
During the robbery, the 88-year-old woman fell on her face. She was taken to Goulburn Base Hospital with serious facial injuries and has since been released.
Police attached to Hume Local Area Command began an investigation. The 17-year-old boy was arrested and taken to Goulburn Police Station where he was charged with aggravated robbery. The police charge sheet said $240 was stolen from the victim.
The boy, from Berkeley, was refused bail by police. The 16-year-old girl was arrested and also charged with aggravated robbery. She was also refused bail by police.
In court on August 7, the 17-year-old appeared on charges of aggravated robbery, larceny and shoplifting. The police charge sheets state the other charges relate to the alleged stealing of an iPhone from a woman in Goulburn as well as stealing $29 from a woman’s purse in Goulburn and also stealing two packets of sausages from Coles. He did not enter a plea.
Magistrate Mark Douglass refused him bail and adjourned the matter until August 21 in the Goulburn Local Court. The 16-year-old’s case was transferred to Port Kembla Children’s Court on August 8. She was granted bail.
Man loses tooth
A woman who punched a man to his face, causing him to lose a tooth, has been jailed. Josephine Nicole White, 41, of Goulburn pleaded guilty to common assault and contravening an apprehended violence order (AVO) when she appeared in Goulburn Local Court on August 7.
Police facts tendered in court said on July 2 at 6.30pm, White punched a male to the right side of his mouth at a house in Goulburn. The victim immediately spat a tooth out. He called police, who attended and arrested White. She told police she had “drunk a bag of goon” before the assault. The man showed police his lost tooth.
Magistrate Mark Douglass said it was a serious offence and sentenced White to 13 months’ jail with a non-parole period of one month.
