One of the organisers of the event Jason Shepherd said it would also be a broad-ranging discussion on other technological issues such as the national roll out of the NBN.
Speakers for the evening include: ALP Member for of Chifley (in western Sydney) Ed Husic, Alex Ferrara from the Goulburn Greens and Nathan Fury from the Goulburn Nationals.
Before entering Parliament, Mr Husic was National President of the Communications Electrical Plumbing Union. He was also employed with Integral Energy.
“It is mainly about how information technology is affecting jobs already and into the future,” Mr Shepherd said.
“Ed Husic MP suggested the topic because it is an issue close to his heart.
“There will also be discussions around the roll out of the NBN and how to fix it.”
Politics in the Pub will be held on Monday, August 21, upstairs at the Astor Hotel, Goulburn from 6.30pm.
