Hundreds of people flocked to the Goulburn Racecourse, with many groups holding early Christmas parties, bucks and hens days, birthdays and other special gatherings under umbrellas, marquees or in the race club pavilion.
Police and security personnel kept an eye on crowd behaviour, while the band, Blazing Boots kept the music pumping after the racing concluded.
This year, Girls Day Out proceeds were directed toward Can Assist Goulburn, Beau Cosgrove, Love Your Sister and Look Good Feel Better. Goulburn and District Racing Club’s next major spring carnival event is the Goulburn Cup race meeting on Sunday November 26. At this meeting the Goulburn heat of the 2017/18 South East Racing Association Fashions on the Field will be held. The final will be held at the Goulburn Racecourse on Country Championship Day Saturday, February 24.
