Everything from photography, graphite drawings, printing, watercolour works and paintings, created by the school students, will be presented for the anticipated annual art show.
On the eve of the event it was clear the enthusiasm from the students was at a fever pitch.
Paint etched in palms and hurried footsteps between tools indicated the passion and attention in every artwork.
The night is also an opportunity for members of the public to see how the school is run said Principal Catherine Harborne, who described last year’s event as “very successful”.
“It's nice to open up what we do with the children to everyone in the community,” she said.
“The children enjoy it and it gives the children purpose to their art.”
The independent school, which houses children from kindergarten to year six, was opened in 1979 after a group of parents decided to seek out alternative education.
Tambelin quickly became a small country school located in town and is similar to schools in Tirrannaville and Marulan.
“The parents put a lot of time in the school initially and now we’ve evolved greatly since 1979,” she said.
In 2016, as part of the inaugural art show, parents were invited to participate in the artistic creation for the show. This included specialised sessions by artists.
It's nice to open up what we do with the children to everyone in the community... the children enjoy their art.

Ms Harborne said students recently travelled to the annual Bondi outdoor exhibition Sculpture by the Sea and regularly visited the Goulburn Regional Art Gallery in preparation for the art show.
- The show will run from 5.30pm to 7pm. Tambelin independent school is located on 20 Fenwick Crescent, Goulburn. This event is free.
