The end of the year went off with a big bang. We had a very successful last meeting on November 27 with members asked to bring along a cutting.

We had just over 50 displayed on a big table and at the end of the meeting we drew out raffle tickets and each person got a plant to take home; something different to what they brought.
Everyone really enjoyed the day and thought we should make it an annual event.
Judy Treweek received her new membership badge and gave a short talk on why she joined the club.
Iris Sturgiss gave a report on the GCA Convention.
The Flower of the Month winner was Pam Hagan with some lovely roses (Tequila Sunrise) and Margaret Wilkes won the raffle.
Then on Tuesday, December 5, we had our final gathering for the year, being our Christmas luncheon held at the Goulburn Soldiers Club.
The room looked fantastic with lovely table centres provided by Dawn Thorn.
We had about 50 lucky draw prizes comprising lovely plants from Gehl’s Nursery and loads of lovely hampers packed by the committee with goods donated by the members.
On the tables were yet more plants with each member receiving a potted plant and some chocolates as their Christmas gift.
Several presentations were made during the afternoon.
Our Patron, Shirley Woolner presented the Flower of the Month annual winner and Pam Hagan was announced the winner.
We had four members who had clocked up significant milestones of membership.
They were: Beth Bailey, a member for 30 years; Shirley Stephenson, 20 years, as were both Sue Hearne and Pam Hagan.
President Robyn presented these ladies with a beautiful posy and card to remember the occasion.
Then a first for our club was the awarding of three Life Memberships.
These were awarded to Peg Kremer, Audrey Granger and Zena Ridley.
These three ladies have contributed significantly to the club over the years of their membership with two of them being foundation members.
The Zone Co-ordinator for the GCA, Mary Willis from Crookwell, was invited to present these badges, posies and cards to these ladies and everyone gave their applause for this significant award.
The ladies had their badges attached to the new ‘lanyard, which was also given to all members and we hope to see everyone wearing their badges for 2018.
Finally a presentation was made to Mary Willis to thank her for attending the day to make the presentations and also to recognise her being awarded the Margaret Davis Award for outstanding contribution by an individual to the Garden Clubs of Australia at the recent Annual Convention of GCA.
Iris Sturgiss one of our Vice Presidents presented Mary with a lovely posy of flowers and a card.
Robyn then wished everyone a safe and happy holiday and hoped to see everyone back with enthusiasm in 2018.
