This follows an federal government announcement that the Marulan fixed wireless tower has gone live.
The Marulan tower will cover 470 homes and businesses with construction on a fixed tower in Tallong and Paddy’s River expected to begin this year.
“Fixed wireless is the success story of the regional nbn roll out – and it’s a fantastic technology connecting the Southern Villages of the Highlands,” Hume MP Angus Taylor said.
“With the promised increased speed in 2018 we will finally be competing effectively with those in the larger towns. This technology helps spur local businesses who employ local people.”
NBN Co representative Jonathon James will lead the Marulan session at the Marulan Hall between 3-6.30pm on January 24 and the Tallong session in Tallong Memorial Hall between 10am and 2pm on January 25.
