“The feedback I am getting is that this lineup is probably the most consistent and diverse lineup in a long time. It is very strong ,” Mr Bell said.
“There are some blues heavyweights on the bill including Lloyd Spiegel, Geoff Achison and Nick Charles.
“The festival is going from strength to strength. The first one was 22 years ago and Lloyd Spiegel played at that when he was 13.
“There will be a nod to female blues artists at the Goulburn Railway Bowling Club with all female front acts including Isuela from Blue Eyes Cry, Andrea Marr and the Funky Hitmen, Bonnie Kay and the Bonafides, Sugar Bowl Hokum, and Jan Preston, who has played the festival many times. Minnie Marks is playing as well - but at the Hibo.”
Mr Bell said there were many venues on board this year, including the new owners of 98 Chairs, as well as the Hinerbian Hotel, The Astor, The Tatts, Goulburn Workers Club, The Southern Railway Hotel, Goulburn Railway Bowling Club, Goulburn Club and Belmore Park.
“The festival is a great annual boutique event and while we struggle for money every year to put it on, it would not happen if it wasn't for the goodwill of the artists playing for a lot less than they could get elsewhere,” Mr Bell said.
The annual Chain Awards will be held on Saturday night at the Goulburn Club.
