POLICE seized more than $4million worth of marijuana crops and shut down two separate drug labs in a little over 24 hours last week.

At about 11.45am on Thursday, local police conducted a search warrant at a property on Oallen Ford Road and allegedly discovered more than 2000 cannabis plants being hydroponically grown inside a shed and an underground bunker. Police estimated the drugs had a potential street value of $4m.

During the raid, officers also located and seized a large amount of fertiliser and equipment allegedly used in the cultivation of the cannabis.

Twenty-five-year-old Joshua Clarke, who police allege is an associate of the Bandidos OMCG, was arrested on the property and taken to Goulburn Police Station.

He was charged with enhanced indoor cultivation for commercial purposes, cultivate prohibited plant (large commercial quantity) and organise/ assist/conduct drug premises.

Mr Clarke appeared in Goulburn Local Court on Friday and did not apply for bail. He was remanded in custody and will reappear in Goulburn Local Court on January 16.

At 3pm on Friday, local police made second drug bust, unrelated to the first the previous day.

Police were called to Goldsmith Street following reports of people fighting in the street.

Investigations led police to search a nearby house where they allegedly discovered 104 cannabis plants being grown hydroponically.

A 28-year-old man was arrested and taken to Goulburn Police Station where he was charged with enhanced indoor cultivation for commercial purposes, cultivate prohibited plant and possess prohibited plant.

He was refused bail and appeared in Goulburn Local Court on Saturday.
