They drove around in Monaros and Chargers with the latest eight track sound systems and often took them to the Goulburn drive in theatre.
The Hoyts cinema was in the process of making way for Kentucky Fried Chicken and the Phillip Court hotel stood where the Centro Mall now stands.

And tomorrow, the current crop of players, cheered on by some of their fanatical fans including John Bell, Gordon Cabot, Dave Klem and Chris Browne pictured at Poidevin Oval by the Goulburn Post yesterday, will try to rewrite history.
