Neil Thompson, who is also a volunteer pilot with Snowy Hydro Rescue Helicopter Service, has been working deep inside the 80-tonne space-ship like hub sections making them ready for hoisting onto no fewer than 67, eighty-metre tall towers structures.
While cranes have been hard at work for weeks erecting the lower sections of the tower structures, a giant 600-tonne capacity crane was brought in last week and already two of the towers are standing at their full 80 metre height with their hubs and 44 metre-long blades attached.
A second crane is due in this week with a further two towers scheduled for erection tomorrow and Friday.
Each tower contains 300 tonnes of steel and other components.
