The milestone was marked with a morning tea for staff, paid for by Kmart head office but planned and put on by members of the store's social club.
The duty manager took the opportunity to thank the staff both past and present for all of their effort over the years.
While most of the senior staff members of the store have been employees for a long time, Donna Squires and Leone Chambers are unsurpassed.
Both women worked on November 11, 1980 the day Kmart Goulburn first opened its doors.
Both were fresh-faced teenagers when they started and both have since seen their teenage children working in the same store.
The women have seen a lot of changes over the years, including the last name on their pay packets, as well as a change to the structure of the management team and numerous managers come and go.
