Canberra Airport planning director Noel McCann said yesterday they were “definitely considering” the idea.
“We have researched Goulburn Airport twice before and we are aware that it is on the market again,” Mr McCann said.
He did not wish to comment further yesterday. Mr McCann visited Goulburn in January and addressed Goulburn Mulwaree Council on the issue.
At that time he said: “We don’t have a closed mind about Goulburn being a freight airport and us not being involved in some way.”
In February, Mr McCann acknowledged there were some constraints with Goulburn Airport including its short runway, and the need to rebuild it.
