WELLINGTON Point State High School students are getting creative in year 12 building and construction class. The students made seven child-sized picnic tables this term and sold all of them to members of the public for $50 each. One of the hand-made tables will be up for grabs again on Friday afternoon, with Gould Estate Agents to give away their purchase on Facebook. Followers of the company's page will be required to like, share and tag a friend on the thumbs up Friday post to go into the draw. Gould Estate Agents principal Adam Gould said he saw the tables being advertised through the school's Facebook page and jumped at the opporunity to purchase one as a prize. "I'm always looking for ways to support the community and promote the great things that are going on around us," he said. The students created the tables as part of their course requirements but the campaign was run as a way of interacting with the Wellington Point community. They are in the process of building cubby houses which will be sold to the public for about $300 in term four. Read more local news here.
