Current leader Adam Leung and his Anglo Australian Motorsport team-mate Richard Goddard fought hard all weekend, with Goddard taking two of the three races.
Leung did get some pride back though as he qualified second behind Goddard but romped to victory in the opening race.
Leung looked on track for another victory in the second race only to make a slight error in the closing stages that resulted in him spinning out and handing the win to Goddard.
As a consequence for his spin, Leung finished back in third place.
In the third and final race the battle between Leung and Goddard continued but in the end the latter was too strong and claimed the victory.
Aside from all the action at the pointy end of the field, Ryan Campbell had one of his strongest weekends ever and managed to finish behind Goddard and Leung in third place for the weekend.
The hard luck story of the weekend was Russell Newell. After qualifying strongly, Newell suffered engine failure and was forced to sit out the remainder of the weekend.
On a more positive angle, ex Sports Sedan racer Robert Coulthard, aboard the ex James Stewart Spectrum, showed plenty of promise by recording Top 5 class results in all three races.
In the Pre 2000 class Jon Collins continued his impressive debut year in Formula Ford by qualifying quickest in class and claiming all three races for his class.
After qualifying second in his class, David Grant had a tough run during all three races and in the final race he was the sole retirement due to mechanical issues.
In all three races Darryl Hall finished second behind Collins, while Bill Gravanis, who made his first appearance in Formula Ford for nearly 10 years, ended up running strongly to finish in third place in all three races.
The fifth and final round of the NSW Championship is to be held on the weekend of October 23 and 24 at Eastern Creek Raceway.
