13/7/2014: Between 00:30 and 10:20 on Sunday 13 July 2014 a 2012 WHITE TOYOTA LANDCRUISER TABLE TOP/FITTINGS, was parked and secured in willow Street at Willow Vale. Unknown person/s have stolen the vehicle by unknown means and method. The vehicle also contained an aluminium tool box and various tools at the time of the theft. Anyone who may have seen or heard anything suspicious in the area during this time is asked to contact local Police or Crime Stoppers with information
13/07/2014: On Saturday 5/7/14 the owner of a rural property located along Inverary Road Paddys River has woken in the morning and has walked out to an open shed near stables to the rear of the homestead and has discovered a white Suzuki DR200 ag bike and other property had been stolen from the open shed. The owner has observed motor cycle tyre track marks leading off his property down Inverary Rd.
The victim is owner of a second rural property located along Bangadilly Rd, Canyonleigh. He has contacted the manager of this property whereby he was informed that a Yamaha Ag bike, four chains saws and a welder had been stolen from the property. Police were contacted to attend. Enquiries are continuing and anyone with information regarding suspicious persons or behaviour in this vicinity between Friday night 4/7/14 & Saturday morning 5/7/14 are asked to contact Bowral Police with information.
13/07/2014: About 06:30 am on Sunday 13 July, 2014, a 25 year old female driver from Kiama was travelling west on Illawarra highway Robertson in a white Toyota Hilux when it lost traction with the road causing the vehicle to spin out of control and roll onto its roof. The vehicle came to rest on its roof in the shoulder against a tree. The driver stated that she was travelling at between 70-80 km/hr at the time. The road conditions at the time were such that the road was clearly covered in visible white ice. Drivers need to be aware they are required to travel at a speed applicable to the conditions they are driving in. The driver was subsequently issued an infringement for negligent driving.
14/7/14: About 11:00am on Monday 14 July 2014 Police attached to The Hume Local Area Command attended a private residence in Moss Vale, in relation to information concerning cannabis cultivation within the premises.
Police conducted a search and located a number of cannabis plants growing in plastic pots under lights and other associated equipment.
Police also located two plastic bags containing cannabis within the premises. The 51 year old Moss Vale man was placed under arrest and interviewed. The male was issued with a Field Court Attendance to appear before Moss Vale Local Court on the 5th August 2014 for the offences of (1) Cultivate Prohibited Plant, (2) Possess Prohibited Drug - Cannabis Leaf and (3) Possess Equipment to Self Administer Prohibited Drugs.

Goulburn
13/07/2014: About 5:45am on Sunday, 13th of July, 2014 police were conducting speed enforcement duties on the Hume Highway, Goulburn. At this time police observed a red Dodge CALIBER sedan travelling south at a speed estimated to be above the posted speed limit of 110km/h. Upon the vehicle being stopped police approached the driver and noted a strong scent of cannabis being emitted from inside the vehicle. A subsequent search of the vehicle & occupants revealed the rear passenger had a small amount of cannabis secreted upon him. The passenger was cautioned & advised he would be issued a Cannabis Caution for the offence. The driver was issued with an infringement for exceed speed over 10kmph.
13/7/2014: On Sunday the 13th of July Police attended a local Nitespot in Goldsmith Street Goulburn about 1.20am to conduct a licensed premises inspection. As police approached the door the security guards were escorting a number of people from the premises and advised Police that there had been a brawl.
Police obtained details from a number of people at the location. Police then spoke further with security staff & viewed CCTV footage. As a result one 20 year old local male has been issued with a Field Can for Assault Occasioning Actual bodily Harm. Police are currently conducting further enquiries into the matter and further charges may be laid.
13/07/2014: About 2:20pm on Sunday the 13th July 2014, police attached to Goulburn Highway Patrol were conducting speed enforcement duties on the Federal Highway, Collector. Police observed a silver Mazda sedan travel north at speed estimated to be well above the sign posted speed limit of 110kph.
Police intercepted and stopped the vehicle south of Collector Rd, Collector and spoke with the driver, a 24year old female and submitted her to a roadside breath test which returned a positive reading. The driver was arrested and submitted to a breath analysis which returned a negative reading. The driver was issued with a TIN for ESL>45kph ($2252 and 6 Demerit Points) and Licence Suspension Notice for a period of 6mths till 12.01.2015. As the driver was not the owner of the vehicle it was not confiscated.
13/07/2014: About 1730 on Sunday the 13th July 2014, a local 36 year old male was seen to steal two bottles of beer from behind the counter at the local hotel in Marulan. The male was then seen to run from the vicinity with the bottles of beer. Police were contacted and obtained statements in relation to the incident. Police later attended the home address of the male identified however he was not there at the time. The matter will be followed up by Police
13/07/2014: Between 13:00 and 18:00 on Sunday 13 July 2014 unknown offender(s) have pulled or pushed over an Australia Post Red SPB box which was cemented to the footpath outside the Marulan Post Office. Anyone who may have witness the incident is asked to contact Police with information.
Yass
07/07/2014: About 0610am on Monday 07072014 at Lachlan Valley Way Bowning with rain falling at the time & wet bitumen. A female driver of a red Peugeot 307 was travelling east in darkness. A vehicle approached with its lights on high beam, the driver of the Peugeot dimmed her lights, and conversely the oncoming vehicle also dimmed their lights. At the same time a kangaroo hopped from left to right in front of the Peugeot which caused the driver to lose control on the wet bitumen surface skidding off the road and into two gum trees coming to rest off the bitumen surface. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
13/07/2014: About 7.15am on Sunday 13th of July 2014 a 44 year old female from Yass was travelling in an easterly direction from Yass to Canberra at a speed of 80/100. Just after crossing Pearse's Bridge the vehicle has slid out of control after making contact with black ice then impacted with a dirt embankment and rolled. The vehicle came to rest on its offside. The driver with the assistance of a work colleague managed to get herself out of the vehicle. Police attended the location and whilst waiting for the vehicle to be recovered, Police witnessed 2 other vehicles travelling well below the speed limit, slow down to pass the accident site, on applying their brakes slid on the black ice and almost lost control of their vehicles. The black ice was a major contributing factor to the accident. Heavy fog at the time lowered visibility to around 40-50 meters. The driver suffered a broken collar bone as a result & was conveyed to Canberra hospital. Police urge drivers to take all due care in bad weather as this can drastically increase the dangers associated with driving.

When you ring PAL, specially trained Customer Service Representatives will take the details of the crime, and make them available to local police through the police computer system for analysis and action if required.
- 1800 333 000 – Crime Stoppers: If you have information about a crime or criminal behaviour, then call Crime Stoppers on this toll free number. Crime Stoppers uses information that members of the public provide to solve crimes and catch offenders.
