He’s been growing several types of tomato, pumpkins, table grapes and even zucchinis in his large veggie patch that surrounds his home in Jacqua Avenue.
He grow several tomato varieties including the ‘Oxheart’, the giant tree tomato, ‘Black Russian’, ‘Whopper’ and ‘Gross Eze’ varieties, all with varying tastes and textures.
“I managed to order some seeds out of the NRMA ‘Health Pride’ catalogue and brought them home and planted them,” Mr Worldon said.
“I’ve been growing them successfully now for about three years.
I even gave some to my sister, who lives in Grafton St and she’s been successful at growing them too.”
His pumpkin varieties include the famous ‘Queensland Blue’ and ‘Orange Butternut’, just to name a couple.
Mr Worldon is even considering entering his zucchinis and possibly his pumpkins into the produce section of the Goulburn Show. He has also been busy making his own organic tomato relish, green tomato pickles and even blackberry jam.
“In fact I’m just starting to make another batch of green tomato pickles right now,” he said.
If you want to purchase some tomatoes, pumpkins or any of the other types of vegetables mentioned from Mr Worldon, you can visit him at his property at 16 Jacqua Avenue, Crestwood (opposite the Goulburn Police Academy) or call him on 0435 885 267.
