Cynthia Clarke said she was proud of her two grandchildren for their active participation, and that her grandfather, Douglas George Nicholson, had served in Papua New Guinea during WWII.
Cadet Under Officer Elijah Fernance said he was proud to assist as a member of the Air Force Cadets, carrying a flag for the catafalque party. Able Seaman Katurah Clarke is stationed on HMAS Kuttabul off Potts Point, Sydney.
"This is my first Anzac Day as a military service person," she said.
