Stanton began to publish photographs of his subjects alongside their short stories and quotes.
The initiative has since become very well known, featuring stories from more than 20 countries and two best-selling books.
As Year 10 work experience students, we were inspired to do something very similar.
We went around Goulburn photographing both locals and tourists, asking them one question: “What is the best thing about Goulburn?”
We received both positive and negative responses from a variety of people around the city.
We went to Belmore Park, local businesses, the library, and even a church.
It has been an interesting project that we have engaged in over the past week and we have learnt much about the City of Goulburn in the process.
Inspired by Humans of New York, this initiative is to engage local people with others’ varying views and perspectives.
