The elderly woman was reversing her Toyota Corolla from angle parking on Bourke Street, opposite the Civic Centre at about 1.30pm when she hit a Mercedes Benz van, police said. The woman then accelerated forward, knocking a pavement sign over and hitting a substation box. Upon moving forward again, her car hit the passenger side of a Mazda 3, causing minor damage.
The vehicle sustained front and rear damage.
