A small grass fire burning in the median strip of the Hume Highway at Boxers Creek, near Goulburn has been extinguished – again by a passerby.

A spokesperson from The Goulburn RFS Fire Control Centre said a small grass fire was reported to them just before 1pm on January 18. The fire stretched to only about 1m 2.
A passing motorist put the fire out, making it the second fire in the space of a few hours in Goulburn that a passerby has extinguished.
A unit from the Goulburn Rural Fire Service attended the scene shortly afterwards to ensure the fire was out.
A fire at the back of the Huntly Arcade in Goulburn was also extinguished by members of the public this morning.
