Goulburn Courthouse is hosting a free open day on Friday, March 3 to promote services addressing common legal problems.

There will be stall holders on aged care, mental health, grandparents and carers, drug and alcohol issues, fair trading, disability services and other legal information.
There will also be presentations at 11am by Pathways Goulburn on “supporting a loved one who has an addiction” as well as a presentation at 1pm by Macarthur Legal Aid Centre. Goulburn solicitor Matt Adam will also be one of the presenters on legal services in Goulburn.
Member for Goulburn Pru Goward said the Open Day would cover many common legal issues.
“There will also be information on how victims of crime can access support and how disputes between neighbours, workmates and families can be resolved through free mediation,” Ms Goward said.
Attorney General Mark Speakman said it was a good opportunity to get information on various legal issues.
“The open day is an opportunity for people to ask questions about the law and legal services in a relaxed and informal setting,” Mr Speakman said.
“The community will also get an insight into the workings of the justice system and a chance to take a look inside one of the most majestic heritage courthouses in NSW.”
Highlights of the day include:

Information stalls from Headspace Goulburn, Flourish Australia, Goulburn Family Support, Zonta Club, Salvation Army, Mission Australia and Warrigal Care.
A number of government services will also have information stalls including the Department of Justice, NSW Fair Trading, Legal Aid, LawAccess, and the Criminal Justice Support Network – Intellectual Disability Rights Service.
The open day will be held at Goulburn Courthouse, 4 Montague Street, Goulburn, on March 3 from 10am to 3pm.
