The State Government is inviting holidaymakers and locals to share videos of their short breaks in Southern NSW, as part of a marketing campaign to promote travel to rural and regional NSW.

The ‘What I Love About Holidays in NSW’ campaign will use videos and photos taken by travel enthusiasts and locals to showcase the vast array of experiences, landscapes and attractions on offer in rural and regional NSW.
To take part in the campaign, people are urged to upload their videos to www.visitnsw.com/ilovensw. Videos and photos can also be shared on Twitter and Instagram using #ILoveNSW.
Member for Goulburn Pru Goward said the campaign presented a great opportunity to showcase the Goulburn electorate.
“Our region has so much to offer holidaymakers,” Ms Goward said.
“I encourage locals and visitors to our region to get out their cameras and start capturing and sharing the moments, experiences and landscapes that make regional NSW a great place to visit.
“This campaign is a great way for people to use their creativity to highlight our scenery, attractions, eateries and accommodation to potential visitors looking for their next escape.
“The very best video contributions will be used in a curated series of eight short films, that will promote rural and regional NSW as an outstanding holiday and short break destination, capturing the attention and imagination of holidaymakers.
“Tourism offers great prospects and benefits for Goulburn.”
In the year ended September 2016, regional NSW welcomed 21.4 million international and domestic overnight visitors who injected more than $10.7 billion into those local economies.
The marketing campaign is in addition to the record $43 million of funding over four years already committed by the NSW Government to boost tourism in regional areas.
Minister for Tourism and Major Events Adam Marshall encouraged locals, visitors, avid photographers and filmmakers to capture their extraordinary holiday experiences in Southern NSW and share them with the world.
To help encourage people to take part, Destination NSW has already curated five example videos which are housed at www.visitnsw.com.
In just one month, those videos have attracted more than 1.2 million views, highlighting visitor interest in Regional NSW.
The eight best video contributions will win a Canon prize pack, which includes a Canon camera and a photography tutorial.
