Nothing beats the autumn colours and the crisp country air as it mingles with the aromas of oven baked pumpkin scones and hot pumpkin soup.
Best of all, the arrival of the cooler weather marks the time to relax and enjoy a day out with all the family at the Collector Village Pumpkin Festival.
Like the giant pumpkins that are the centrepiece of this quirky event, the Collector Village Pumpkin Festival has grown from a small seed into something as big as it is colourful.
With loads of free activities for all the family, entertainment galore and vibrant market stalls you can be assured of having the best day out ever when you come to the pumpkin festival.
Fun things to do
- Roll a pumpkin for a prize
- Climb aboard an original Cobb & Co Coach for a free ride around the local sportsground
- Browse among the market stalls that line the festival precinct for that special gift
- Build a scarecrow using a pumpkin and straw
- Visit the farm animal petting paddock
- Meander through the hay bale maze.
If it is entertainment you want we have all day live music and performances by local and interstate artists, buskers, pipes and drums bands and demonstrations by search and rescue dogs.
You will also find displays of quilts and local history inside the original stone churches that were built by the pioneering families of this rich farming district.
Glorious food
Pumpkin scones, pumpkin pies, pumpkin soup, gourmet pumpkin pizzas and even pumpkin ice cream!
You will also find traditional Aussie barbecue and food stalls with international flavours and freshly ground coffee to tempt the taste buds.
The Collector Village Pumpkin Festival is a community-run event with all profits returned to the community.
With full ATM facilities, plenty of car parking and more pumpkins than ever, the Collector Village Pumpkin Festival is a must-see event.
