The Sale Trail will this year see over 10,000 garage sales and stalls happening around the country to encourage reuse, celebrate creativity and bring local people together in a fun, social way.
Chairperson of Community Plus Dr Ursula Stephens said their team have been busy preparing for their sale, which will be held at 7 Adam Street in West Goulburn.
“Community Plus is using the Garage Sale Trail to raise funds for some fantastic community projects; come along to find some treasures and support the local community,” she said.
Goulburn Mulwaree Mayor Bob Kirk encouraged people to jump on the Garage Sale Trail website to create their own map of sales to follow over the weekend.
“With 12 sales across town it’s a great chance to bag a bargain. Each sale will offer something different, with furniture, electronics, antiques, garden tools and more on offer around the town,” Cr Kirk said.
Garage Sale Trail has grown from a grassroots event to a program powered by over 150 local councils nationally.
By organising communities around Australia to host and shop at garage sales, Garage Sale Trail aims to promote reuse, waste education and unite communities.
