For some it is an annual family tradition to return year after year, catch up with friends and relax with children, grandchildren and even great grand children.
Carols of Hope, held almost every year on December 22, has grown from a small production organised by Peter Mylonas and his family and featuring emcee Chris King in the band Rotunda. to a large scale production. It now uses a large portable stage with LED lighting, sound crew and features a combination of talented local performers and visiting artists. It is still coordinated by Peter Mylonas with the assistance of his family other volunteers and compered by Chris King who enjoys coming down from the Central Coast to catch up with friends and the many people in the audience who make December 22 an annual date night ti celebrate Christmas.
The 2018 Carols of Hope included performances to suit all ages, returning artists like Justice Crew and Island Breeze, the F5 Choir and Nathaniel Patterson who stepped up with some solo performances and performers new to the Belmore Park stage. The Koi Boys, Katie De Veau, the Goulburn High School Vocal Ensemble and Johnny Robinson and Paul Baxter on keyboard presented a variety of music including many traditional Christmas carols and newer Christmas songs. And who can forget the official opening and attendance by Santa Claus.
