Does the Transport Accident Commission need to update it's revolutionary Bloody Idiots advertising campaign?
Perhaps something to include social media, like: ''If you drink, then drive, then film yourself crashing on Snapchat you're a bloody idiot ..."
Too obvious? Well, not for some.
Victoria Police say a woman was more than three times over the legal blood alcohol limit when she used her phone to film herself speeding and driving carelessly moments before careening off the road.
The Snapchat video was taken by the driver seconds before she crashed.
Crash investigators believe an imprint of a Mazda logo on the phone's screen was caused by the deployment of the airbag.
Oh snap! This is footage of a driver's Snapchat video taken seconds before she ran off the road and crashed, thankfully without serious injury. The phone's screen bears the imprint of a Mazda logo which crash investigators believe was caused by the deployment of the airbag. The driver was charged with speeding, careless driving, a blood alcohol reading of 0.164 and (of course) using a mobile phone while driving.Posted by Victoria Police on Thursday, 18 January 2018
