Eye of the beholder
Those with a keen eye for local art and some red string would have caught an interesting sketch tied to the door knob in the Goulburn Local Court.

The court is a place of many things. Confessions, lawyers, correctional officers, diligent court staff and fair Magistrates.
What you would not expect housed in the Goulburn Local Court, built in 1881, is a sketch of a muscly Jim Beam coke can, holding weights in one hand.
The cartoon, standing on earth has a low flying airplane above, and a sailing ship behind. For those with attention to detail, in the left corner is a teepee alongside two small stick figures.
We noticed there was no scrawl of the artist, or familiar initials. So we ask the court, whose work is this? And pray, why is this hanging off a door nob in the building?
Faith in humanity
A feel-good story passed on from our coast-like hipster neighbours in Braidwood.
A woman in Cooma was saved by a couple from Tarago when her car broke down. The couple called NRMA and left a phone with her until she started the car and was on her way.
Recently, a letter of thanks was sent to the office. It is good to hear locals reaching out to help. We hope the couple is granted a lifetime of zero car troubles for their kindness. Although, if they’re making regular trips to Cooma – there is no guarantee this will come true.
Life goes on
Taralga is battling no easy beast.
About 2200 hectares has been burnt Bannaby since the night of January,19, and all hands are on deck for the job. Everyone has banded together and we hope that this blaze dies out soon.
On the second day, as the fire began to take shape, a Post journalist could not help but notice the township itself was relatively unfazed. There were those in the pub, children visiting friends, and the campdraft –only 10km away from the fire - was still running.
Taralga residents – you have a thick skin.
