Chief financial officer Louise Higgins outlined new figures at the national broadcaster's first public annual general meeting in Sydney on Friday.
Since the mid-1980s funding had been cut by 28 per cent. But for the cost of two seasons of the Netflix series House of Cards, the ABC had managed to create 50 Australian programs, Ms Higgins said.
