With three events to go for the Men’s Decathlon, Goulburn man Kyle Cranston has already made his mark on the athletics stage at the Gold Coast Commonwealth Games.
On Monday morning, Cranston took out a second place in his heat of the 100 metre with a time of 11.16 seconds.
Later in the day, Cranston took eighth place (out of 12 competitors) in long jump with a leap of 7.18 metres.

Fellow Australian Cedric Dubler took first with a result of 7.59 metres.
In the shot put Cranston took out seventh place with a throw of 13.59 metres, while in the high jump he took out 8th place with a jump of 1.92 metres.
Finishing the night on Monday with another run, Cranston placed fourth in his 400 metres heat with a time of 49.94 seconds.
On Tuesday morning, Cranston took fifth place in his heat of the 100 metre hurdles event with a time of 15.12 seconds and for discus took out the seventh position with a throw of 43.19 metres.
On Tuesday afternoon,Cranston will finish the decathlon with the pole vault, javelin throw and the 1500 metre race.
