Raiders Cup Competition
The Goulburn Workers Bulldogs 1st Grade team take on the Gungahlin Bulls at 5.15pm this Saturday April 14, at Canberra’s GIO Stadium in round 2 of the Ausbrokers Canberra Raiders Cup Competition prior to the Canberra Raiders v Parramatta Eels NRL clash.
The lower grades will be played a Goulburn Workers Arena on Saturday morning with the times listed below.
- 10am Women’s League Tag – Bulldogs v Bulls
- 11am U18’s – Bulldogs v Bulls
- 12.20pm Reserve Grade – Bulldogs v Bulls

Crookwell She Devils play Gunning Rooetts at 6.30pm on Crookwell Memorial Oval on Friday, April 13.
Crookwell Green Devils play Gunning Roos at 7.30pm on Crookwell Memorial Oval on Friday, April 13.
Goulburn Capital League men’s side, Southern Tablelalds United FC CL1 takes on Brindabella Blue on Sunday, April 15, at 3pm at the Cookbundoon fields.
Playing before them on Cookbundoon 2, at 1pm, are Womens State League 1 Southern Tablelands FC against the ANU.
Goulburn Dirty Reds have their first homegames of the season against Royals at Poidevein Oval the seconds paly at 1.30pm on Saturday, April 14 followed by the firsts at 3pm.
South Coast Monaro competition
Braidwood hosts Crookwell at the Braidwood Recreation Area starting at 2.30pm on Saturday April 14.
Taralga hosts Yass at the Taralga Sports Field also 2.30pm Saturday, April 14.
Goulburn Geckos men play St Pats at the Goulburn hockey field on Saturday, April 14, at 1pm.
Goulburn Geckos Women play St Pats at 2.30pm on Saturday April 14, at the Goulburn hockey field.
On Saturday, April 14, Goulburn District Racing Club hosts Boys Day Out. Gates open at midday. Prizes for Fashions on the Field. There are six races on the program the first is scheduled to start at 1.26pm.
Goulburn Harness Racing Club is holding a seven race program on Sunday, April 15, at the Goulburn Recreation Area Paceway. Race 1 is timed for 1.32pm.
Goulburn Speedway Club is holding its final meeting for the season on Saturday evening starting at 4pm.
Featured ion the program are the Australian GP Midgets Championship and the ACT Formula 500 State Title. Gates open at 2pm.
Goulburn Swans first game of the 2018 season is on Saturday next week, April 2. This will be a home game for the team, under head coach Matt Lee and they will be playing against ANU. During the off season substantial work has been done to the Goodhew Park facility amenities block including the player change rooms. Regular followers of the Swans should not the earlier start time of 12 noon onstead of the usual 2.15pm.
There is plenty of other local sport around the fields this weekend with junior netball at Carr Confoy Park, Association Cup soccer at Cookbundoon fields on Saturday and local jockey both Saturday and Sunday either side of the Capital League games.
