About 1.30pm (Friday 18 May 2018) emergency services were called approximately 400m south of Wollogorang Creek Bridge, Federal Highway, near the Hume Highway, Yarra following reports of a crash.

Police have been told that a white van has left the roadway and hit a tree. The male driver, and sole occupant, has died at the scene.

Officers from The Hume Police District have established a crime scene and commenced investigations into the circumstances surrounding the crash.

Anyone with information is urged to come forward.
