Members of the Goulburn Mulwaree Youth Council have released a statement in response to the recent vandalism at the Adventure Playground, praising the council for their focus on young people.
The council put a $3,000 reward after learning the Adventure Playground was vandalised.
It took two days for a man and two juveniles to be arrested over the offences.
In the statement, the Youth Council expressed their deep disappointment and anger, questioning why the incident happened in the first place.
“We want to point out that only a small minority of our youth would do such a thing and the rest are responsible and proud of what our city provides,” the statement read, referencing events such as Vibes Fest and Pictures and Popcorn in the Park.

“As a group we feel the Council does so much for the youth of our area...future projects such as the rage-cage, skate park extension, redevelopment of the Aquatic Centre and a new Performing Arts Centre will mean there is even more in the region for the youth and people of all ages.”
The Youth Council cited $60,000 spent by council to stamp out vandalism and graffiti.
“If people respect what we have that money could go towards more facilities and events,” the statement ended.
