The night was well supported, with nine local schools represented.
What an excellent night!
The standard of the speakers was exceptional and impressed both judges and audience alike.
Judges for the night were Anne Cleary, Toni Kennedy, Steve Chapman, and Heather West.
They congratulated the schools and students involved and complimented the high standard of speeches, mentioning that any one of these students could be a future leader.
Geoff Kettle, a former mayor of Goulburn, and Andrew Mewburn, relieving assistant principal at Goulburn North Public School, were the timekeepers.
Both men are great supporters of Quota and the club was grateful for their contribution to the success of the evening.
Quotarians are extremely pleased to have the opportunity to host this event, to enable it to foster and encourage self-expression and individual development of primary school students through public speaking.
Quota International of Goulburn thanks the principals and staff of participating schools for their encouragement and support of this event.
The club is continuing the competition, previously organised by the Rostrum Club of Goulburn.
Geoff Kettle presented the event’s winner, Costa Toparis from Goulburn West Public School, with his winner’s trophy.
