The Aquathon is a multisport event which employs a swim and run combination similar to a triathlon but without the bicycle leg and is conducted within the pool and Victoria Park.
The local competition is broken into three categories, the Novice event which is a 100 metre swim and a two kilometre run, the intermediate division which is a 400 metre swim and four kilometre run, and the long distance event which is 600 metres and six kilometres.
The club welcomes all interested parties to come and have a go and take part in a club which has fostered four Goulburn Sporting Hall of Fame athletes, but also welcomes those who want to take part to improve their fitness.
The Centre is selling memberships in instalments of five weeks, 10 weeks, and season passes (19 weeks) at a cost equating to approximately $6.00 for adults and $4.00 for Under 18’s, which includes pool entry. Memberships will be on sale in the coming weeks at the Aquatic Centre in Deccan St.
