Visitors came from far and wide, including one devotee who drove over three days from Darwin with her dog to attend. Why? “Because it’s Steampunk!” laughed Jessica Vasey.
Entertainment included live bands and dance performances, teapot racing, parasol dueling, and old-world games of bottle balancing, quoits, spinning wheels and the “Ocean’s Edge”.
A fashion parade and canon-fire exercise on the somewhat rainy Saturday gave way to blue skies and more family fun on the Sunday, with lots of locals dropping by to have a look.
