The latest You Galaxy poll, with 531 people polled in Goulburn, has the two-party preferred at Labor 50 per cent and Liberal 50pc.
In the hot seat, Country Labor's Dr Ursula Stephens is pitted against the Liberal's Wendy Tuckerman.
You Galaxy polling suggests a one-point first preference lead on the primary vote to Wendy Tuckerman, at 38pc to 37pc, however, preferences suggest that it is still an even contest for the two-party preferred.
In Goulburn in this election, it is preferences that will make the difference.
Dr Ursula Stephens says she is being realistic.
"We are being realistic of our chances, so every day we will be working hard," Dr Stephens said.
"This has not been a Labor seat since 1965, so we understand that every vote counts and we will be working hard between now and the close of the polls on Saturday to secure every vote we can.
"Only Labor will put local schools and hospitals before Sydney stadiums."
NSW Labor leader Michael Daley was in Crookwell this morning announcing a three-point plan for small country hospitals to improve health services in the state's smallest rural communities.
On the latest polls, Mr Daley was mindful of the task ahead for his party in the last week before the election.
"We have to win 13 seats to win government in our own right," Mr Daley said.
"It is a statewide challenge for Labor and a Goulburn electorate challenge for Ursula.
"We have to win seats we've never won before. We're both harnessed in and we are both climbing Mt Everest together.
"We are here to do our best. We could win Goulburn. It is a massive task. The swing we need is over 6pc."
Meanwhile, Liberal candidate Wendy Tuckerman said: "polls are polls."
"I am doing my best to convince people that I am here for them," Mrs Tuckerman said.
She conceded the margin could be less than 6.6pc because it was well-known as MP Pru Goward's seat.
"That margin will be less that 6.6pc because I have come into it later in the game and I don't have the name id that Pru Goward had," she said.
