The acts always shine and he's the bloke working in the background pulling the show together.
Last Christmas he performed the role for the last time after 27 years and won recognition from the Prime Minister Scott Morrison and Premier Gladys Berejiklian for his contribution.
Mr Mylonas has stepped down as coordinator and handed the reins over to a committee.
At Tuesday night's council meeting, Mayor Bob Kirk said he'd been remiss in not recognising Mr Mylonas at the last carols.
"We slipped up but I want you to know your contribution is not forgotten...We certainly appreciate it," Cr Kirk said.
The Mayor said Mr Mylonas had worked tirelessly over 27 years to stage a major show for the community.
Mr Mylonas said it was humbling to receive the certificate.

The event, which attracts hundreds of people to Belmore Park, will continue this year under a new coordinator and committee.
