While the matches did not go according to plan for the Gunning Roos on Sunday, it did not dampen the enthusiasm displayed by the club during its annual Ladies' Day.

Their opponents for the day were the Crookwell Green Devils, who showed that they are back in good form by winning the league tag encounter 38-0, and followed that up with a 62-0 victory in the men's match soon after.
The day presented perfect conditions for football, as it was not too cold and there was barely a cloud in the sky.
While that made it ideal for the spectators sitting on the sidelines, the Roos struggled to make inroads against the Green Devils, whose defence was excellent and whose speed on the wing made them difficult to stop once they got on a roll.
However, Roos club president Kathy Johnson said that the losses did not detract from the success of the day as a whole.
"It was great," Johnson said.
"It was a good day. There was a good crowd, perfect weather, we can't be happier."
The point of Ladies' Day, according to Johnson, is to pay homage to the numerous women on and off the field who do their utmost to keep the club running smoothly.
"We like to say thank you to the women that are behind the boys," she said.
"Their children, their siblings, their mothers, even their grandmothers.
"We thank them for coming week in, week out, helping out in the canteen. Our committee is made up of all women except for two men."
Johnson was particularly proud of the efforts from Gunning's players.
"We've only got five girls who have ever played league tag before," she said.
"They've all moved on to other things, most of them are young mothers. And our men, there would only be a handful of them who had ever played here before."
This weekend, the Gunning Roos will travel to Mick Sherd Oval in Bungendore, where they will take on the Tigers and the Tigerettes in the senior men's and league tag fixtures respectively.
The league tag will kick off from 12.45pm on Saturday May 11, while the men will follow at 2.00pm.
