After notching up 39 arrests and clearing 153 offences, South Australian police dog Ice has retired, and he's getting to take his handler with him.

Sergeant Darryn Conroy is also hanging up his uniform after more than 26 years with the dog operations unit.
Sgt Conroy has been partnered with six dogs during that time, two Labradors and four German Shepherds, including Ice.
Ice is seven years old, around the age police dogs are usually allowed to lead an easier life.
He'll now spend the rest of his days with Sgt Conroy and his family.
Inspector David Scutchings said it was unusual for a dog and handler to retire together.
"They have both given exemplary service to the community of South Australia," he said.
