They didn't believe it at first, but a Goulburn couple has won a significant share of a national lottery drawn on Wednesday.
The win in the November 27 lotto draw, number 3925, left their stomachs "all turned up", one of the winners said.
The couple had purchased their lucky ticket at the NewsXpress outlet in Goulburn.
"My husband was washing the dishes after breakfast and I was just about to hang out the washing," the winning woman said.
"I said to him, 'We could be rich, you know. We will have to check this ticket after we've done these jobs.'
"And it's true: we are rich; we are millionaires.
"I'm stunned."
NewsXpress has sold a few winning tickets over the years.
Franchisees John and Sally Stein were ecstatic for the couple.
"How excellent is that," Mr Stein said.
"We are very happy, in particular for our winners.
"It's a great time for the win, especially because of the drought.
"It's great news for our community.
"I am sure people will be thrilled for our winners, no matter who they are."
The winning couple say they are not sure how they will spend the money, but a holiday is definitely on the cards.
"Gosh, I don't know what we will do with our prize," the winning woman said.
"We will share it with our family, of course.
"We also might go on a holiday, maybe somewhere we've never been in Australia."
Their ticket was one of two Division 1 winning entries.
