On Saturday, January 18, the Legend Cars NSW Title and GPs NSW Modified Sedans Lilac City sprint will take place, which race secretary Tony Kranitis said is sure to draw top-tier competitors.
"At titles you always get the cream of the crop, because everybody likes to get that under their belts," Kranitis said.
"At your general events you get a certain amount of cars, but if they're going to race they'll come to a title.
"It'll be a good night, it's two titles which is pretty good really."
The evening will also feature the Micro Sprints and the Junior Sedans.
Event organisers continue to monitor the weather closely, as the races scheduled for a fortnight ago were postponed due to the smoke and a lack of water.
"We certainly need water to run, the smoke is pretty bad for health reasons," Kranitis said.
"We just thought safety comes first and called it off.
"At this stage, we're going ahead [this weekend] unless something changes with the fires. We're taking it one day at a time, but everything is going ahead at this stage."
Though the decision to cancel an event is never easy, Kranitis said the community supported the decision.
"People have been pretty good [about the cancellation]," he said.
"When we cancelled the last one, people were really good about it and understood it was for the best of everybody."
The Rocky Hill Royale will instead take place on February 29 at the Goulburn Speedway.
The Speedway will also have a bucket at this weekend's event in which spectators can place donations, all of which will go towards fighting the bushfires.
Kranitis and the rest of the Goulburn Speedway committee thanked all those who have put themselves on the line to fight the fires which have plagued the state since late 2019.
The Goulburn Speedway will open its gates at 4pm this Saturday for a 6pm start.
Tickets are $20 for adults, $10 for pensioners and children under 14, $40 for a family of two adults and two children, and free for kids under school age.
