In today's newsletter, the Goulburn and district community pays tribute to well known RFS volunteer, Jamie Buck, who passed away on Friday night/Saturday morning. Amanda Buck said her husband loved the RFS and had been a member for 20 to 30 years. "He loved the community liaison aspect of it, getting out protecting people and the service to community," she told The Post.

Meanwhile, public schools in the Goulburn electorate have received a boost of almost $4 million worth of maintenance. The schools were among 968 in NSW to receive additional maintenance work, clearing over half the outstanding school maintenance list across the state.
The Chamber Philharmonia Cologne will play at Saints Peter and Paul's Old Cathedral in Goulburn at 8pm. Bassoonist Karen Ruprucht said the orchestra's goal was to "take music to the people ... in rural towns so that people don't have to travel to see a performance".
In other news, Danielle Seib is set for the Country Championships qualifier in Nowra. Seib only graduated from university last year and school teaching is her back-up while she builds her team of nine horses. And she's become something of a minor celebrity with her Crookwell High students since they realised she's trained a horse to win in Sydney.
