Lawrie Sullivan, who has been an advocate for the Goulburn to Canberra bus service, has welcomed the news.
He feels that the service is much needed in Goulburn as the population of the town is growing.
"The new timings will help people who have earlier clinical appointments during the day and need to travel to Canberra," Mr Sullivan said.
"Changes made to the existing timetable and additional stops might encourage people who weren't using the service to use it now.
"However, it is important to get this information out to the public so that they are aware of it."
The new timetable will have additional stops including at Canberra Airport, Bruce Calvary Hospital, Canberra University, and Belconnen Westfield.
The changes were made after feedback from the customers.

Member for Goulburn Wendy Tuckerman called it "a huge win for Goulburn".
"I want to thank the community for their support of this service and for providing their feedback, which has helped create this more effective and efficient service," Mrs Tuckerman said.
"I encourage everyone to continue to support the trial.
"Get on board to help make these coaches a permanent fixture in the timetable in addition to the range of train services available in the area."
The service will return from Canberra Civic at 5.30pm, arriving back in Goulburn at 7pm.
A number of "A stops" have been added to the route, meaning the coach will only stop at this location to pick up booked customers.
NSW TrainLink continues to operate another trial coach service providing additional options for commuting to Sydney.
It has had more than 8400 customer journeys since September 2018.
