Data earlier in the week reported the number of cases at 54. The change in case numbers reflect the change of address of a confirmed case who was isolating in the region, but has now relocated after being released from isolation.
There have been no new reported cases.
Across the district, there are 50 'recovered cases', meaning they are no longer under active surveillance by the public health unit.
A 'recovered case' refers to anyone previously confirmed positive with COVID-19 who is no longer under active surveillance by the public health unit, in either a hospital or in the community.
This includes someone who been diagnosed with COVID-19 and has now completed the required period of self-isolation, or someone who has previously been diagnosed with COVID-19 who no longer has the virus.
A prior false positive test is categorised as a negative case, and is not included as a recovered case.
There are two active cases, one in the Goulburn Mulwaree and one in Eurobodalla Shire.
No confirmed cases have required hospitalisation and are self-isolating accordingly.
Southern NSW Local Health District Public Health Unit is in contact with each confirmed case and their close contacts, advising them to self-isolate for 14 days from when they were last with the confirmed case.
They have also been advised to seek medical attention should they experience symptoms.
Identifying close contacts ensures that those people who may be at risk take the necessary steps to avoid any further transmission. I
